Nothing, I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.
The outside blind did not work, the bathroom door could not close and it also had a hole in it, the shower head would not stay up on the rod (I had to place tape around pole to keep it in place).
It was very convenient to visit the Battle Fields of the Somme. The food was good and the hotel was far enough away from the town centre to be quiet and relaxing yet not too far to visit the town and the museum and other facilities. It wasn't too far from the motor way system and the instructions to the hotel were perfect.
The thing I liked was the helpfulness of most of the staff,as a non French speaker the help given to us by the waitress in the evening was much liked it made eating enjoyable rather than a struggle.
The main thing was the state of the accomadation block which in places was falling apart, the whole place could do with a revamp, the handrails on the stairs and balcony are in need of replacement as they are falling apart, some of the fittings in the room could do with replacing the wall lights were loose and one was hanging off the wall, the old brackets once used for mounting the TV from the ceiling could do with removing, the toilet would not flush properly, there was a dead pidgeon lying on a hedge by the back door of the kitchen for at least three days.
We looked at some of the World war One battlefields of the Somme
Some of the food was disappointing.
It suited our purpose being a stop prior to getting to the euro tunnel, noisy laundy service at 5.45 woke us up.
Bar and restaurant area very uninspiring
My friends and I liked the food
Hotel needs complete refurbishment. Sleep disturbed on night of 29.5 by wedding guests playing their car stereos until o4.30 on the Sunday morning. Staff did nothing to stop it.
Location good for us when travelling through to our destination
Broken shower holders & poor plumbing(toilets hardly flushed ) Air conditioning only put out warm air(on a 30degree day) not good these things were applicable to both rooms booked. Rooms are getting very tired. Needs a refit
Relatively easy to find and good parking facilities.
Where do I begin: The first thing you see at reception is an apparently permenantly open toilet door; the room was in need of repair (eg, no toilet seat, shower hanging loose and electric socket hanging off the wall) and the room needed a good clean.
Good value. A handy place to stop over. Nice breakfast (by French standards - I.E., it included yoghurts, fruit etc.)
Small rooms and lack of air conditioning but for the price it is ok.
There were two key things about the hotel that we were more than happy with. Firstly, the staff were excellent. The man on reception when we arrived was brilliant - he dealt with the two issues we had extremely well & didn't make us feel that we were being a nuisance. Also, the rest of the staff in the Restaurant & Kitchen were very friendly & accommodating. Secondly, the restaurant was excellent. We didn't have dinner on the night we arrived but could see a number of diners eating & the food looked really good. We all thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast before leaving the following morning.
We didn't like: the dirty towels in the bathroom, the fact that the shower didn't work properly, the bath was stained from the running water, the hot tap on the sink didn't work, the toilet wouldn't flush & was badly marked & one of the pillowcases was dirty.
The tea and coffee making facility. Good parking and wi-fi connection were available and it's in a relatively quiet location.
Lack of insect screens, which meant mosquitoes in the hotel room when the window was opened and flies in the restaurant. The shower is over the bath and the bath has a high step in which makes it a little tricky for people with short legs or leg issues! There are no grab handles. The basin/vanity area in our room was beginning to lose its grip to the wall. Generally, the accommodation building is tired and needs updating and re-painting. The wooden rail around the second floor has dry rot in places and it's easy to run a splinter into one's hand.
just passing through the area.
Shabby and not very clean and a ripp off when paying for a child 11 years old in a room for three people which they are not designed to be.
The evening staff were very pleasant and the evening service in the restaurant was good
The room urgently needs a renovation and redecoration - the bathroom door would not shut, the shower could not be fixed to the wall and the general decorative state of the room was very tired. The breakfast server was unwelcoming - most tables were already set for lunch and declared "out of bounds" by the server at 08.15!! Very little food left on buffet.
Bathroom fixtures were in extreme disrepair. Basic maintenance sadly lacking.
Hotel not in good state. The lamps above the beds were not working, the floor was damaged, the toilets in our childrens' s room were leaking and noisy. Nothing to say about the breakfast since we did not get one. The TV has a good size.
